Why Soy Wax
Soy wax is a vegetable wax made from USA grown soy beans and naturally derived. It is biodegradable and renewable which makes it environmentally friendly.
There are less expensive options in the market such as paraffin wax that is largely used by big box stores due to it's lower cost and accessibility, however it comes from petroleum and crude oil which is not healthy for the environment.
Soy wax also burns slower and produces less soot, making it a longer lasting and cleaner burning candle.
With natural waxes such as soy and coconut, you will have peace of mind knowing that you are burning non-toxic candles in your home.
Something to keep in mind about your soy candle is that it may change in form and appearance over time or after burning. This is usually a result from varying temperatures. Cold temperatures may cause the wax to shrink and pull away from the jar. Small crystalline flakes, also known as "frosting", may form as a result from the wax trying to get back to it's natural state. Although unpreventable, these characteristics in no way affect the quality of the burn of your candle and is proof that the wax comes from a quality natural source!
